What's wrong with this picture? Sponges

Below is a photo of the expo line, server’s side. If you look closely, you will see a couple of sponges.  Does this seem like a good way to clean plate edges of drips and food?

Sponges are only allowed in the pre-rinse or wash compartment of your dishwashing area. If you want to wipe the rim of plates to remove drips or thumbprints, we advise a sanitation cloth with the proper concentration and the cloth to be stored in the solution when not in use.
