Q & A - Sanitizer Solution - Bucket or Spray bottle?

Q : Hi! Can you tell me what the requirements for sani buckets are? Not the solution within, but the vessel itself. Thanks!

A : Hi, A clean vessel, typically a bucket, that has been washed, rinsed and sanitized for starters. For sanitizing flat surfaces, you could use a sanitizer in a spray bottle but it must have at least 10 seconds contact time for chlorine and 30 seconds for all other sanitizers. For pots, pans, and utensils you would need a 3-compartment sink with the proper concentration of an approved sanitizer. And don’t forget to run a test strip at least once a day!
